The ARNS-MIE (Agence nationale de recherches sur le sida et les maladies infectieuses émergentes) is a French research agency dedicated to coordinating, funding, and promoting research on infectious diseases. Its scope covers HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, as well as emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. The agency plays a central role in structuring national and international research efforts and in supporting rapid scientific responses to epidemic threats.
Its annual scientific meeting, held on April 1–2, 2026 at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, brought together researchers and clinicians to discuss recent advances in the field, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and therapeutic innovation.
During this event, Mustapha Si-Tahar, Director of the Centre d’étude des pathologies respiratoires (INSERM U1100), chaired the thematic session dedicated to therapeutics, contributing to the scientific discussions in this key area.
