Biology of Innate T cells & Lung immunity

Team leader : Christophe PAGET

The “Biology of Innate T cells & Lung immunity” Lab conducts fundamental researches in the field of innate T (Tinn) cell immunobiology with a peculiar focus on lung immunity including infection and auto-immunity. Our team is organised around three complementary and interconnected axes.

Our expertise includes advance knowledge in mouse and human immunology including innate T cell and Fc receptor biology, and the understanding of lung inflammation from autoimmune and infectious origins. This are valued by applying a translational research approach combining relevant experimental models and clinical studies. Our team creates synergies by bringing together fulltime researcher, assistant professors and MD-PhD from different fields (fundamental immunology, internal medicine, intensive care and biological immunology).

Specifically, we investigate the interplay of key molecular and cellular effectors in response to respiratory infections caused by viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
Our goal is to develop innovative immune-intervention and antimicrobial strategies.

Our axis

Our team is organised around three complementary and interconnected axes

Axis 1

Understanding the factors that control Tinn cell development and homeostasis

Axis 2

Deciphering the activation mechanisms and functions of Tinn cells during infection and auto-immunity

Axis 3

Bringing the grounds for future Tinn cell-based therapies in lung diseases
