Adeline Cezard, a researcher at the Centre for the Study of Respiratory Diseases (CEPR), an INSERM research unit in Tours, has been appointed PhD Ambassador for the Centre-Val de Loire region.
After completing her PhD in biology at the University of Tours, where she investigated immunometabolism in influenza infection, she contributed to the identification of a molecule with promising antiviral and immunomodulatory properties. Now a postdoctoral researcher and project leader, she is pursuing its preclinical development through the innovative start-up Sacha Therapeutics, whose project won the i-PhD Grand Prize in 2024 and the i-Lab award in 2026.
As PhD Ambassador, Adeline aims to showcase the diverse career opportunities available to doctoral graduates, highlight the transferable skills developed through research, and strengthen connections between academia, innovation and entrepreneurship.
